Wellington City Council has agreed a $38 million (excluding GST) insurance settlement following damage to its Civic Administration Building (CAB) in Te Ngākau Civic Square in the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake.
Wellington City Council, Victoria University of Wellington, and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) have taken a major step in the establishment of a national music centre that will transform New Zealand’s arts scene and inspire future generations.
Wellington’s Civic Square will be transformed into Rugby Sevens HQ and the Waterfront taken over to create a hub of music, 3D art, wine, food and craft beer for the first ever Seven Days of Sevens Festival in the countdown to the HSBC Wellington Sevens.
