Things were against us from the beginning when we had to don our white away kit to prevent confusion. Apparently we decided to do this to stop us accidentally passing the ball to the wrong team. - BNU Ladies come away with the booby prize (North Wellington 4 – BNU 1) Apparently you learn more in defeat than in victory… key lesson learnt this Sunday is that you can’t always trust your boobs to put it in the back of the net... Also, a mental note for next time – one of their goal scorers was called Smurf and we need to be ready for her next time.

Womens B v Kapiti 31/5/2009
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- A cold, wet, muddy and steamy draw (BNU 1 – Kapiti 1) You can’t beat Wellington on a good day… and with hail stones the size of marbles, hundred-mile-an-hour gales and a wind chill factor of about minus 20, the BNU girls took to the pitch at Happy Valley. These were perfect conditions for some slip-sliding muddy tackles and desperate attempts to send a wet, brown ball in the vague direction of th

Wellington City Rural Fire Force
- The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
