Future of the Central Library consultation
- Wellington City Council
- The Central Library has been our city’s living room and a vital part of our vibrant inner city for decades. The building itself isn’t safe to use. There are several ways to make it safe for people to be in, which also brings new possibilities in using the space. This is our once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to set up the central library to continue to support Wellington's diverse communities for at least the next 50 years. Before decisions can be made on the future Central Library in October 2020 - we need to know what you think!

At arm’s duration: The plasticity of depth judgment
- (Medical Xpress)-People have a distance at which they are best able to judge depth. That distance, it turns out, is dictated by how long people understand their arms to be. Friends of Maara Roa
- Maara Roa is a forest restoration project at Cannons Creek Valley near Porirua. Its purpose is to restore the Bush back to what it was before the people who ruined it came. The project started in 2000, after some gorse fires destroyed yet more sections of native bush. A small group of people met to see if something could be done to stop it. The Friends of Maara Roa grew from that.
