A catamaran in Porirua Harbour had slipped its anchor and drifted into a trimaran moored nearby. Both yatchs were caught together and the strong southerlies had caused the trimaran to puncture the cat above the water line. The owners were on board and declined assistance. They preferred to wait until the wind had eased. No further damage was expected by either vessel.
