Six Wellington cricketers have been selected to play in the boys and girls New Zealand Māori Secondary Schools sides to play the Governor General’s XIs at Wellington’s Karori Park next Thursday.

These annual events were held yesterday and attracted an entry of 69 teams and 343 competitors from 17 colleges, including 3 teams from Palmerston North and 3 teams from Whanganui.
There were new team records for PNBHS in the Senior Boys grade, Wellington East in the U16 Girls grade and Wgtn Girls in the Y9 Girls grade, and new fastest time for Liam Back (Whanganui Collegiate) in the Senior Boys grade and Kirstie Rae in the Senior Girls grade.
