WCC Watch / August 2010
Welcome to WCC Watch. The idea is pretty simple. Basically, the coverage of the upcoming (Sept-Oct) Wellington City Council elections are going to be sporadic at best. There are a multitude of personalities at play, some smart, bold, dynamic candidates, and some total fruit bars. I’ll be trying to cover everything I can to follow the election.

One last post on Goulter…
- WCC Watch
- Okay, when Jevan Goulter decided to not stand for the Lambton Ward, and instead focus on Whanganui, we were a little disappointed, from the point of view that he certainly would have spiced up the competition.

- Just quickly, are Gareth Morgan (standing in the Northern Ward) and Michael Fowler (in Lambton) who I think they are? If so, that came out of the blue!

Tin-foil hat candidate for the Southern Ward

Candidate updates
- WCC Watch
- I’ve updated our candidates page following a few emails we’ve received… Updated website details for a few candidates. Removed Andy Foster from the mayoralty race, I’ve been told he is only standing for his council seat, and his website seems to suggest this. Removed Rob Goulden from the mayoralty race, I’ve been told he is only standing for his council seat. I don’t dare question him.
