Cow Creek Hut Loop with a little navigation
- Wellington Tramping and Mountainneering Club
- With Wellington returning to Level 1, and club life starting back up again, I was very keen to get out into the bush on a proper club trip. As the week progressed, the forecast dampened my enthusiasm. Not only was there going to be extremely high winds (between 40 and 90km/h on the Saturday and ... Read more

Te Atuaoparapara peak – Ruahine Forest Park
- Wellington Tramping and Mountainneering Club
- It was timely that the Wilderness magazine had an article on negotiating scree, given that our descent from Te Atuaoparapara peak involved just that! Lodge update – our Maunga – October 2020
- Wellington Tramping and Mountainneering Club
- The ski season is now finished for the year. RAL (the ski field operator) were intending to run for a couple of weeks beyond Labour weekend but a significant loss of snow put an end to that. Finding dinosaurs and magic on the Leatham-Molesworth Circuit.
- Wellington Tramping and Mountainneering Club
- ‘Dolphins’ shouted a crew member as we travelled through the Marlborough Sounds on the Interislander. So when Peter sadly passed away in 2005 it made perfect sense for Judith and Michael to take over the business. In 2010, they expanded to Tawa opening a new bakery and cafe where customers could dine in on the amazing baked goods and great coffee and, in 2017, opened The Bakery Basket an online branch with delivery across New Zealand.
