Coaches Rhys Morgan and Sriram Krishnamurthy have been pleased with the development of the squad in this competition. Rhys Morgan had this to say about the start to the competition, “The CricHQ U19s had a pretty tough start to the competition this year. What has been pleasing is seeing the improvement in the team in recent weeks. This shows the ability of the group to learn lessons and apply those learnings in competitive situations.” Sriram Krishnamurthy put a lot of the development in the squad down to the benefit of being able to use high quality training facilities. “For the past six weeks we have been able train on grass at the Basin Reserve. The coaches have really appreciated the opportunity to help the players develop their skills in fantastic conditions.
