    • Slipped anchor causes collision in Porirua Harbour
      • Operation Details Date/Time:  Tue, 05/02/2013 - 09:00 - 10:00 Operation Type:  CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted:  2 Total Volunteer Hours:  5 The Harbour Master requested the assistance of Coastguard Mana to help resolve a situation caused by severe southerly winds overnight.  A catamaran in Porirua Harbour had slipped its anchor and drifted into a trimaran moored nearby.  Both yatchs were caught together and the strong southerlies had caused the trimaran to puncture the cat above the water line. The owners were on board and declined assistance. They preferred to wait until the wind had eased.  No further damage was expected by either vessel.  Vessel Details Length:  13.00m Resources Attendees:  Chris Darch ChristopherPye james bass Peter Feely Trevor Burgess CRV's Used:  CRV Pelorus read more
