    • The main streets of Newtown are being converted into State Highway One for four nights every week from now till the end of the year, while the NZ Transport Agency is closing the Mt Victoria tunnel for repairs. But it wasn’t all the extra traffic that upset Newtown locals last week – it was the Agency’s decision to remove a traffic island from Riddiford Street.
