- TEACHERS STRIKE WEDNESDAY 29 MAY The Kilbirnie School board discussed and agreed that the school would close on the day of the planned teacher strike action on Wednesday 29 May. As all fulltime staff are members of the Union, we are unable to provide safe supervision. Therefore families will have to make alternative arrangements for the care of their children.
