    • Riding high for the animals
      • On Saturday 4th December 2010, BRONZ (Biker’s Rights of NZ) Wellington Inc are holding their first every charity motorbike ride in support of Wellington SPCA – and they need your support! This fantastic event will see a group of bikers and bike enthusiasts riding up the beautiful Kapiti Coast as far as Waikanae and then heading back down to Wellington – stopping off along the way to collect donations of pet food, blankets, towels and cash! Show your support for Wellington SPCA – please come along to any of the collection points listed below with your donation. This is also a fabulous opportunity for anyone with a keen eye to check out some awesome machines. The meeting and collection points and times are: Avalon Duck Pond, Lower Hutt: 10 – 11am Coastlands/BNZ/Subway area, Waikanae: 12 – 1pm Under the sails at the TSB Arena, Wellington: 2pm onwards If you are keen to show your support by taking part in the ride please email info@bronzwellington.org.nz as soon as possible. This great event will culminate in a presentation outside the TSB Arena followed by the chance to celebrate the day in the Parrot and Jigger Bar and restaurant at the Station Village, Hutt Road, Lower Hutt.       • Valhalla Village Garden and Lounge, Raumati South is holding a fantastic viking themed fundraiser for our Kapiti branch on Saturday 20 November - and they need your support! Tickets are just $15 (including nibbles) with music from local band Black Eyed Susie.     • Volunteers needed for our Annual Street Day Appeal
      • It’s only 4 sleeps until our most important fundraising event of the year and we need your help!  Our Annual PAWS Appeal street collection is a fantastic way you can support Wellington SPCA – and it’s really easy to get involved! We don’t recieve any direct government funding, so the donations we receive from our supporters are really vital to us and allow us to continue with our life-saving work. You can still book your place to collect for us  – even if you can only spare us just one or two hours, it will make such a difference. We need collectors on Friday 12th November in Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti and on Saturday 13th November in Lower Hutt. Please ask your friends, family and colleagues to spare us an hour or two … call Trina today on 04 389 8044 ext 816.
