The Kapiti Coast’s newest trail opens on Saturday – the 10km northern section of the off-road trail between Peka Peka and Otaki – which completes 35km of shared trail on the Coast. The full trail from Paekakariki to Otaki has been branded the “Coast35”.

A cool night saw numbers down but 13 keen athletes turned up and mother Nature surprised us with a nice night, if a little on the cool side.
The finale in the 2021 series (the first for 2 years - Covid dealt to 2020) was a windy affair, but at least it was dry - credit to Kapiti Coast winters for 4 fine Saturdays in a row (we won't talk about the first one!) The strong westerly wind certainly made it interesting - lots of tactics required (and used!) and the bunches broke up in every grade.
Another cracker of a day in sunny Te Horo and the light breeze and dry roads made for great racing conditions for the 80 riders who took part, and competitive racing in all grades.
Another bluebird day was delivered for the riders who came out today - who would have thought we'd be riding in short-sleeves on the 31st of July?
It was great to see even bigger fields today, with truly competitive racing in all grades.
Time flies! It's been four years since we launched our new KCC kit, so its with great pleasure that we declare the 2021 Club Kit shop officially open!! (the last day for orders is Weds 7th July)

What started as an idea for awarding some of the Club's old trophies blossomed into a great event yesterday - the first Kapiti road Race Champs to be held as a separate event in many a year! Thirty-eight riders took to the Te Horo circuit yesterday to make for challenging racing in all grades.
The 2021 Hill Climb (HTT) Champions have been found!
Conditions were almost perfect, with a moderate nor-west breeze providing some assistance up through Reikiorangi and onto the Akatarawas.
Recently there was a little piece in the local papers about our Summer Series Champ Euan Mason receiving his trophy from series sponsor Ceinwen (Howard and Co).
Our winner of the Howard & Co Summer Series, 15 year old Euan Mason, received his trophy from series sponsor Ceinwen Howard today.
Euan competed in C grade at the Tuesday Club nights held at Southwards Car Museum and Nga Manu Reserve Rd, taking out the series with the most points in a tightly fought points race across the 4 grades (A to D).

Two club members returned from (separate) holidays to Whitianga with a little flier of local group rides in the district, both with the same thought: "we should do that".

when i sleep is an interactive installation with accompanying paintings. My first solo exhibition <3 Before moving to Pōneke I lived in one house my whole life. A house my parents built for our family. Sometimes I close my eyes and check on myself back at home. It feels smaller than I remember, but she's still there, peacefully sleeping.
