What's for lunch?

- Remember when we asked you for hot tips about where to eat on Lambton Quay? Well, the Wellingtonista Towers has opened up yet another branch office, this time temporarily on Mercer Street, so we want to know where to max out our expense accounts

Cinephilia: Opening This Week
- The Wellingtonista
- While the Film Festival dominates the screens at the Embassy, Paramount, Te Papa, the Film Archive (and partially takes over the Penthouse) there are still mainstream releases being flung to the four winds.

Cinephilia: 36th Wellington Film Festival Preview
- The Wellingtonista
- It’s Film Festival time of year, that two and a half week period when watching three films a day becomes more than shameful self-indulgence, its almost obligatory. Like life itself, preparing for the Film Festival is all about choices.

Phoenix: Warm-up Match Moved Again
- The Wellingtonista
- The first Wellington Phoenix home pre-season game has been moved for the second time. Originally announced for the Basin Reserve, at some point it was switched to Newtown Park and now, according to the official site it has been moved to Westpac Stadium due to “concerns that Newtown Park would not have the capacity to cope with the big crowd expected.” Sunday at 2.00pm is kick-off time and the tickets are only $10 (and free for under 16s).

Numero Uno? Numero no no!
- The Wellingtonista
- When I saw the first issue of Uno on the shelves at the supermarket, I was hoping it would be the Wellington equivalent of Metro - on a good day, not all "Why your kids' school will give you cancer and never let them buy a house" Listeneresque. But it's not. It's really, really not. Instead it turns out that Uno is every bit as advertising-copy driven as the Wellington Guide - without the advantage of at least being Welly exclusive.

Kids' Film Festival
- The Wellingtonista
- One of the more excellent things we've seen land in the Wellingtonista's intray that allows harried parents to entertain their kids for FREE these holidays, is the Film Festival taking place down at the Film Archive. So if you've got a loved one at home looking after some housebound kiddy-winkles, give 'em a call and tell them to head along...
