Art at your feet
- WellUrban
- While there's a lot going on around the Buckle St section of the bypass, Karo Drive itself is going to take a long time to integrate into the texture of the city (sad, empty buildings don't help). Some citizens have taken things into their own hands and decided to give that most anonymous and downtrodden of icons, the pedestrian walkway pictogram, a bit of individuality.

Sunday Working Bee
- The Lazy Fern Track Blog
- A working bee last Sunday saw the first 90mtrs of Lazy Fern widened to its proper finished width of 1.2mtrs, this meant we could lay gravel down for the contractor to come in and start building the bridges and retaining wall needed to get around that nasty gully at the bottom of the track.

Kumutoto khazis

- It may not have as rarefied a subject as the Memorial Park, but there has been another design competition going on: an internal contest among staff at Studio of Pacific Architecture, who have co-designed the public space at Kumutoto, for a combined public toilet and "folly" to go near the southwest corner of the Steamship Wharf building.

Greening Ghuznee
- WellUrban
- The pavements are still being dug up all along Ghuznee St, four months after the bypass was completed and a couple of months after the "remaining work" was supposed to be done. Some of it is finally starting to look like the pretty renders suggested, though it's hard to tell whether that will make up for the bits where the pavements have been sacrificed for more parking.

Karori Slapperz 2 - Uni Legends 2
- Karori Slapperz AFC
- Legends, known for their pointless pretty boy passing from defence to midfield without actually getting a ball in the box are like a rubbish version of The Arsenal, but managed to give the Slapperz a right run around all day especially in the middle. Despite this, the Slapperz took an early lead when Geeza put though a ball for Story to bang in his 11th of the season 1-0.

P2 Men Vs Harbour City 07/07/07 Drew 1 - 1
- Upper Hutt Hockey Club
- The upper hutt P2 mens team got thier first competion point on the weekend with a Draw against Harbour city Tawa. Probably due to several late changes to the draw no referees were present and Both teams provided a referee each. This was a very unfair situation for these people to have been put into and for thier efforts we owe them alot of thanks. It was not a particularly nice game for them to have had to umpire with moments of conflict, A certain player was a bit confrontational and will be starting the fine system off by putting $20 in the swear jar.

Women's Firsts v Tawa (top-o-the-table-clash)
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Aaaaa…Tawa. The steady sound of motor mowers and small children. The snobby reluctance to be associated in any way shape or form with their close neighbours Porirua. The constant purr of dehumidifiers working tirelessly in an effort to stop mould from coating every household surface. Isn’t it great just not to live there? What would be even greater would be if we were to beat them on Sunday and rob them of possibly the only thing they have to proud of – top spot in the division that contains our team.
