- Public feedback closes on both the Frank Kitts Park redesign and Kumutoto sites 8-10 scheme this Friday, so I've got a lot to get through by then. After discussing all the Frank Kitts options, let's move on to the first of the six Kumutoto entries.

Halloween Howl II
- The Wellingtonista
- It may come as somewhat of a surprise to you to discover that Wellington has a pro-wrestling circuit. However, now you know, you really must come along to Halloween Howl II on Saturday October 27. It starts at 7.30pm so you'll be out in time to attend other Halloween shindigs, and damn, it's men in tights.

The Wellingtonista guide to drinking for free
- The Wellingtonista
- Now, don't get me wrong: we Wellingtonistas are not usually parsimonious when it comes to paying for drinks. On the other hand, we're a canny and logical bunch, and it only takes about 10 free glasses of house wine to save up enough for a Mega Mai Tai, so in the long run it pays to seek out gratis grog. Let's start with the obvious: gallery openings and launches.

Quartz hill is off the air
- ZL6QH Quartz Hill User Group
- The Quartz Hill site is now closed for major amateur radio activity while a wind generation farm is under construction there. The activities log and the provision to make bookings have therefore been suspended. We are hopeful that we will be able to return to the site and re-establish the station once the wind farm is in operation.

Exhibition - Deborah Barton
- The Wellingtonista
- Deborah Barton is a Wellington-based print maker. She has done a number of exhibitions, and is about to open at the Solander Gallery in Lyall Bay this Saturday, 13 October. Deborah's prints are dark and intriguing, with overtones of childhood mysteries. And now for the good news. As a young artist Deborah's work is surprisingly reasonably priced... Need I say more.

Into the 'Switchback Zone'
- The Lazy Fern Track Blog
- On a windy, grey old day a small but effective team finished off about 200 metres of track, so we are now well into the 'Switchback Zone'. Many thanks to Murray, Alex, Zac, Don, Ben and his kids, Rob, Steven, Ian, Grant and Alex, Malcolm, Craig, Jonathan, and the person whose name we have missed out.
