Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation called in the big guys to help when a {Porirua} child health service struck an unusual problem when trying to accommodate a donated play house.
The Wellington Health Foundation congratulates Wellington Hospital on its 125th Anniversary. Using prison labour, building of the first hospital began in 1876, but it was officially opened in 1881 and patients were transferred from the old Thorndon Hospital to the Newtown site between from June that year.
