The 2016 AGM was held on the 27th of May, where we farewelled some old faces and welcomed some new ones, as well as discussing the direction of the club for the coming year.
I think we can officially put Open Day 2016 into the ‘great success’ pile. We had an excellent turnout from both novices and experienced rowers, and Wellington put on an absolute stunner of a day for it!

Congratulations to VURC President, Griffin Hunt, and Club Captain, Tim Wilson, who recently won bronze medals in the Men’s Club 8+ as a member and coach of a Wellington composite crew.
VURC’s Luke Watts has sculled his way into the New Zealand team to compete in the World University Rowing Championships in Kazan, Russia, in September.
