Miramar Schools Healthy Active Learning Day

The purposes of the day were: To build community connections between local schools To demonstrate the benefits of Healthy Active Learning and active lifestyles To showcase some local health and physical activity providers that can support schools

A Fun-Filled Play Week
- Nuku Ora
- Play Week saw many tamariki engage in tākaro (play) and encouraged students to be adventurous, joyful, and curious when connecting with their taiao (environment). Play week (5 - 12 November) was all about celebrating the value of tākaro for tamariki, whānau and communities throughout the Wellington region, with a focus on Backdoor Tākaro with Ngā Atua.

Wellington Regional Sport Organisations make changes for participant wellbeing
- Nuku Ora
- Six major sports organisations have agreed to improve the experience for players and parents by aligning their respective season transition dates. In a first for Wellington, College Sport Wellington, Netball Central, Wellington Hockey, Capital Football, Wellington Rugby, and Cricket Wellington have unanimously agreed to align their season structures when the winter sport season commences in Term 2. The winter season will begin no earlier than the week beginning Monday 2nd May, 2022.

Running for a cause to enhance the wellbeing of our communities

- Running for a cause gives Wellingtonians an extra special reason to get involved in Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays in 2022. On Sunday 20 February 13,000+ runners and walkers will have the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for one of four official event charities.
