Success in Australia
- Wellington Brass Band Inc.
- All the hard work paid off for the band when they won the Australian B-Grade on Easter Sunday, 23 March. The Australian national contest was held in Brisbane this year and Pelorus Trust Wellington Brass was one of only two NZ bands, with Dalewool, to make the trip across the Tasman. The band won the Hymn, Own Choice and Test sections and came second in the Stage March, producing an aggregate well clear of the second-placed band. read more

Pizza Kiss!
- Texture
- When I heard KISS were coming to town for rock2wellington, the last thing I thought would happen was Gene Simmons entering a pizza eating competiton in Cuba Street. Yet that is what happened on Saturday before the big event.

Late-night shenanigans are back on the menu!
- The Wellingtonista
- There was a while in 2005 when you knew that on Friday and Saturday nights you could go to Indigo, and they'd be open, and there'd be Nixx-Til-Sixx spinning everything from Bloc Party to Motley Crue and you could drink until 6am. And then that stopped and it sucked. Fast foward to now though, and in 2008, Indigo is now San Francisco Bathhouse, and Nixx-Til-Sixx has been replaced by the fabulous DJ Doofus, but the same thing is happening.
