- Nice trot around Maidstone Park last night, with the Chilton St James team using it as part of their training under Anna Robertson. Can't help be struck by the culling of pinus radiata in parks round the valley - often just when a patch of them gets mature enough to allow some off-track navigation!

No Records, But Heaps of Fun!
- Orienteering Hutt Valley
- Participation in 2007 didn't zoom up like the previous years, but after an extraordinary 2006 it was very similar to 2005. (In 2006 we ran the NZ Rogaine Champs and the NI Sec Sch Champs, whew!) There were 1925 starts, and if you count rogainers in 3hr units we get 2105. At least 75 volunteers made all this happen, thank you!

- From humble beginnings in 2000 the Wellington Series now has the luxury of picking and choosing from a dozen venues. Seven have been selected for 2006, and a second long-distance rogaine-style Akatarawa Attack is planned towards the end of the year.

Wellington Spring Afterwork Rogaine Series Results - Western Hills

- Bill Edwards overcame a late start and headlamp troubles to narrowly win last night's afterwork rogaine on the Western Hills. Planner Allan Stowell used a mix of suburban control sites and ribboned rural features in Belmont Regional Park.

- Fantastic weather has become a legend at afterwork rogaines and last night was another beauty. Controls from the Massey Memorial in the north to the Ataturk in the south; nicely judged with Andy Foster and Greg Thurlow scoring 80% of max.
