"Sometimes as programmers we get a little ‘cute’ with concepts and I could not resist the idea of a ‘bird’ concert! Of course, themes like this work only if the music is first rate! I love the connection between the master of the 20th Century and his teacher. One can clearly hear the exoticism that Stravinsky absorbed from Rimsky-Korsakov. These are two orchestral tours de force.
