Prayer is an essential element of every Christian and Christian Community so during the evening there will be an opportunity for us all to join together to pray for SAJ and the various activities and groups; for our community and for the wider world.
Don’t work this Father’s Day - God gave you the day off! Instead, join us at The Salvation Army Johnsonville. We have giveaways and great coffee. You won’t want to miss the special morning tea. Take the day off and join us at 10:00am for this exciting Sunday for the whole family!

No service at SAJ, but please march with us in the Johnsonville Anzac Parade and then join everybody at the service held outside the RSA. Meet 9:30am at Burgess Road.
Our first 1/2 night of prayer for 2010 will be on Friday 26th March commencing at 7.30pm. Just to let people know that the meat left over from the Volunteers BBQ last weekend was gratefully received by the Men’s Night Shelter in Taranaki Street.
Tranz Metro in Wellington have developed an event and partnership with The Salvation Army to support the Army’s caring work in the Wellington region for the Christmas/New Year period by collecting food for our food banks.
The idea involves a special 4 coach English Electric service that will operate on Saturday 28th November which will call at every station in the electrified network to collect donations of non perishable food.
A reminder that shoe boxes need to be returned to The Salvation Army Johnsonville Office no later than Sunday 25th October. There is an Operation Christmas child table set up in the foyer where you can leave your filled shoe boxes. This will be set up every Sunday through to Sunday 25th October. Alternatively boxes can be dropped off during the week at the church office upstairs.
