C&C DHB hospitals go “Code Red”, as winter takes its toll

- Capital & Coast DHB is issuing a plea for qualified nurses to step forward to help out during the current peak in Winter demand. At midday today Wellington Hospital and Kenepuru Community Hospital moved into “Code Red”. That means they do not have the capacity to meet expected demand, due to decreased availability of staff and with all resourced beds being full.

BP Vouchers for Volunteers

- The Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation has received from BP a supply of BP petrol vouchers to pass on to our Wellington and Kenepuru Hospital volunteers as a thank you for all they do for their hospital communities. The Foundation is one of many charities who have been selected to receive the petrol vouchers and on behalf of our volunteers we say thank BP.
