Touch Rugby 2012
- St Patricks College, Silverstream
- St Patrick's College Silverstream are making every post a winning post in touch rugby competition. The Senior 1st Touch team won the Central Region Qualifying Tournament in Palmerston North on Sunday 25 March. This victory, where the side won every game, makes Silverstream the first Wellington Secondary School to win this tournament and qualifies the side for the Secondary School Touch Nationals in Hamilton from 7 - 9 December this year.

Library Study Zone Changes

- The Kelburn campus Library is changing its study area zoning on Monday 7 May in response to feedback from our clients. Level 3 will change from blue (quiet) to green (collaborative); Levels 4 and 5 will change from green to blue.

Big Books being interfiled with Main Collection

- The Library (at Kelburn campus) is interfiling its big books into the main collection in response to feedback from our clients. To date, big books have been shelved as a separate collection on each level. The Campus Hub project has provided the opportunity for this to change.

- A huge congratulations to VURC’s Luke Watts who has been named in the 10-strong team for the World University Championships. These will be held in Kazan, Russia in September. Luke’s local newspaper, the Wanganui Chronicle has written about his achievement. You can read the article here. Luke Watts is set to compete at the World University Rowing Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Collection moves, Level 3 of the Central Library
- Victoria University Library
- The collection on Level 3 of Rankine Brown will be moved from the north to south end over the next six to seven weeks. The collection needs to be moved to enable redevelopment of the north end of the level. The bulk of the moves will be done during the weekends - so as to minimise interruption to library users.

Kid's Lit Quiz

- The Wellington final Kid's Lit Quiz was on today. We had a fantastic result and won the Wellington competition. The winning team of students were Caitlin Walker, Lauren Jack, Thomas Kilroy and Joseph Lynch. They now go through to the New Zealand finals held in Wellington on 14th June at the BeeHive. We wish them all the best.

The collection was published with the support of Creative New Zealand, and hosted by the New Zealand Electronic Text Centre at Victoria University Library.
