Terawhiti Rogaine
- Wellington Orienteering Association
- Big climbs and big distances mean the course proved to be challenging, probably too big for a 6 hour event ? taking more than a day to set out the whole course on my quad bike was a bit of a clue, 43% of teams incurring time penalties proved it.

- Thanks to WellUrban for reminding us that the 9th Wellington International Jazz Festival gets under way tomorrow (26th October). Much like WellUrban, we???re not too au fait with the jazz end of the musical spectrum, but can make a few tentative recommendations.

MTBO Rogaine
- Orienteering Hutt Valley
- The base in Lower Hutt's Andrews Avenue was a wind tunnel, but bikers said it was much better out there, especially those who chose controls in sheltered places like the Korokoro Stream.

Melling Park/Trail Event
- Orienteering Hutt Valley
- It was a beautifully fine, warm and calm day for some relaxed casual orienteering, enjoyed by those below. The most popular course used both Hutt River banks between the Melling and Kennedy-Good bridges ??? occasional forays to controls next to the clear sparkling waters
