Saving the City to Sea Bridge

- Demolition of the City to Sea Bridge could be imminent, if Wellington city councillors have their way. They seem determined to proceed with demolition without further consultation with the public, though consultation is planned in the “single vision” document released this week. At their briefing last Wednesday on the future of Te Ngakau/Civic Square, some councillors supported and not one objected to a proposal by staff to seek legal advice on whether the Council ‘has to’ consult over demolition.
