      • CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Mens Pairs winners: Adrian Cronin and Ken Brown (s) - Runners up were: Wayne McDonald and Allan Brider (s) Womens Pairs winners: Kaaren Guilford and Dale Ranyer (s) - Runners up were: Kay Martin and Lui Hare (s) Mens Triples Winners: Avon Crompton, John Archer, Pat Walkin (s) Runners up were: Barry Parlane, Dave Carr, Allan Brider (s) Womens over 60s Singles winner: Alwyn Knox WARREN TE PA DEVELOPMENT 1-10 YEAR CLASSIC Played at Wainuiomata over the weekend. Team as pictured Ian Franklin played Saturday and Barry Parlane played Sunday due to club championships. The classic tournament started with fours then two pairs games 2-4-2 and standard pairs. Then triples and singles then fours. Everyone had to skip the fours and you had to play the opposite pairs game on day two, the tournament was Saturday and Sunday with same number of games played. The Johnsonville team didn't drop a game all weekend and won seven and drew the last against Eastbourne third were Tawa.

After a strong start in the final J'ville held off a comeback by the Lyall Bay triple skipped by Brent Stubbins to win on the last. Well done also to Rob Ashton (s), Rob Veale and Sy Baker who reached the semi-finals - almost making it an all J'ville final.
