New writing showcased in Turbine 13

- Turbine 13 showcases writing from established and emerging voices, including the latest graduates of the International Institute of Modern Letter’s Master of Arts in Creative Writing. This year's highlights include works from visiting American poet Mary Ruefle, Bill Manhire's tribute to Ralph Hotere and an extract from Helena Wiśniewska Brow's Adam Foundation Prize winning memoir.

New Artwork in the Kelburn Library
- Victoria University Library
- A new artwork has been installed in Level 1 of the Kelburn Library. Several attentions (2009) by Ruth Buchanan is a looped video installation, running for 20 mins 02 seconds. Buchanan, a New Zealand born, Berlin based artist explores her relationship with the artist Virginia Woolf and seeks to articulate the ways in which life and art mix.

Kelburn Reading Room closed today
- Victoria University Library
- There's work happening on the Reading Room today, which means that the space and collection (DU422 - EZ) will be unavailable. The Stairs leading from the Hub to Level 3 are also closed, so please use the stairs and lifts inside the Library. The work will be complete tomorrow and the space will be open again.

New and Improved Te Waharoa

- From the 18th of November, Te Waharoa will be changing a little. It’s still the best way to search our resources and now has some added features that will make searching even easier. The preview pane on the right will give you information about authors, related topics and book availability. The new Te Waharoa has perpetual scrolling, making it easier to use on mobile screens.

New Online Resource - Journal of Visualised Experiments
- Victoria University Library
- JoVe is the first scientific video journal. It's a great resource for students, academics and researchers and has over 2600 peer reviewed videos with dedicated sections for Neuroscience, Bioenginnering, Immunology and Infection, Chemistry, Biology, Behavioural Science and much more.
