The Thorndon Residents Association (TRA) is a motivated and effective residents association proud to support the Thorndon community. The TRA was established to improve amenities and facilities in Thorndon for more than 3,800 residents living in the area.

- Six of the bronze markers on Wellington’s Commonwealth Walkway are located in Thorndon/Pipitea. The Commonwealth Walkway connects 32 significant monuments, parks, buildings and historic places along a 9km loop. It takes approximately two hours to complete.
