It's Division 1
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- Wellington Indoor Sports confirmed this afternoon that Zephyr Rovers had been promoted to Division 1 after their impressive pre-season performances including the narrow loss to Division 1 runners up Mercer. "It's come as a bit of a shock to be 23 years ahead of the team plan to be promoted to Division 1" said Rovers Manager Steve Hall "but that gives us a few years to consolidate before we become the best team in Wellington Indoor football".

Rough Stuff
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- Wellington Indoor Sports announced yesterday that Zephyr Rovers was one of the teams to watch when they described Rovers as one of eight teams that pop up in referee reports about teams. "I was flabbergasted" said Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall "we're a pretty clean team since Charlie and Chris left and whilst we've had the odd discussion with a referee, I can't recall it ever being abusive". Hall said he was even more perplexed when hearing that "that guy with the grey beard is your worst offender".

Petone Backpackers 0 - Karori Slapperz 1
- Karori Slapperz AFC
- Slapperz kitted up and warming up in familiar circular fashion, determined to maintain their league position. Backpackers are nowhere to be seen and as the clock ticks by suggestions of claiming all three points and retiring to the boozer are voiced, if only by Skid.

Public Service 11 vs Upper Hutt 1
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- We racked up another good score, but the Public Service left Upper Hutt a little deflated as we pretty much let the Upper Hutt Slayers (UHS) off the hook. The final score will show a command performance by the BNU Public Service, winning 11 goals to one. But with a 7-1 half time lead, it should have been much, much greater.

Half Time Entertainment
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- Zephyr Rovers Chairman George Nash (pictured) today bemoaned the lack of half time entertainment at the Shed of Dreams. "We think Wellington Indoor Sports could be doing more to provide the crowds with entertainment at half time during our matches" said Nash.

BNU Public Service 12 v. Petone Martians 1
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Hoooooo baby. Look this is gonna be a rather shambolic effort. We scored lots. I can't remember them in order so this will be a series of short goal descriptions. 12 in all. That's right, 12.

BNU v. Lower Hutt, 0-3
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Without a doubt this was a clash eagerly anticipated by all the BNU players. Come 2:30pm Saturday we would be playing on what was tipped to be the pitch of the season and the surface was the topic of conversation early in the week leading up to the game. But like many fields in the capital, it couldnâÂÂt cope with the consistent rain and Karori number 1 was underwater.

Second Half Blitz
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- Zephyr Rovers were slow out of the blocks today at the Shed of Dreams and soon found themselves down 3 - 0 to old rivals Solnet. "We started of on half a tank of gas but fortunately picked up momentum to get back in it 5 - 5 at half time" said Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall.

Slapperz put 4 past Wellington United
- Karori Slapperz AFC
- The Slapperz faced Wellington United in round 11, a team whom we beat 4-2 in the first round in a scrappy performance. The return leg proved to be a much better performance by the Slapperz as they put Wellington to the sword, comfortably coming away with a 4-0 win.

BNU Newsletter
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Last week was a good week for BNU with all but three teams winning their games. The honourable mention goes to the Public Service and Women's A - the teams with the best attacks and the best defences in their league. Keep up the good work!

Women's First Team v. University
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- The mighty women's first team played at Anderson Park on a chilly Sunday morning when most reasonable people were sensibly nursing their hangovers from the night before. Admittedly, an early kick off does have some advantages and their rewards were reaped all afternoon at the Southern Cross. Anyhow, onto the football.

3 points is 3 points
- Karori Slapperz AFC
- The Slapperz made the trek out to the valley to play Lower Hutt Sangam... It was a team whom we had some fiery matches with last year and more of the same was expected. However the game was played in good spirits and was expertly controlled by Fitz.

Let's Go - McIntosh In Charge
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- Zephyr Rovers are without Manager Steve Hall and Chairman George Nash for their first up grading game tomorrow at the Shed of Dreams. "We've only got five starting players and have nominated Col as Manager for the day" said Hall "but we're still thinking the boys will put up a reasonable display providing they find someone to fill the difficult goalkeeper role".

BNU Public Service 9 - {Porirua} City 1
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Woo hoo. An excellent win on the weekend. A comprehensive thrashing of a team that probably should have done better but was beaten down by a Public Service that is starting to come into its own once again. An offence that has now realised 20 goals in its last three games and a defence that has given up only five goals in the ten matches played this season, suggest that this team is only getting better.

Hall Makes Surprise Return
- Zephyr Rovers FC
- The absence of Steve Boxall on a trip to the mainland has seen the surprise return of Zephyr Rovers manager Steve Hall (pictured) for the third/fourth play off tomorrow. "I'm carrying a bit of an injury to be honest" said Hall "so I'll probably start myself on the bench and not come on until I'm needed".

Slapperz 4 - Magpies 0
- Karori Slapperz AFC
- Contrary to forecasts of squawly showers and near-freezing southerly gales, the afternoon remains fine and conducive to entertaining football. It is to be the Slapperz first opportunity to sample the pleasures of a newly laid, impeccable looking Karori Park turf.
