The Election Special
- Texture
- Feel like the whole Election is becoming a big joke? Have a laugh at its expense (and while you can still afford to) as Jeremy Elwood brings it to the Capital on Friday 7 November. Having spent most of his career earning a reputation as New Zealand's premier topical comedian, Jeremy Elwood is doing what he does best the night before the Election. Forget analysts and dodgy polls, this is definitely to be the most fun to be had when you decide which idiot to vote for. No campaigning, no interviews and no more avoiding questions to get the party message across, this will actually deliver on its promise - to make you laugh. Think of this as a party political broadcast where the focus is on the party, not the political. Elwood has been performing in New Zealand and around the world for over a decade and was most recently seen in Wellington during the NZ International Comedy Festival with his show "Jeremy Elwood's 12 Steps". If ever there was a time and a need for Elwood to comment on the state of the political climate, it is in this election year. This is a one night only performance with support from Chris Brain, early enough to have dinner after work, see the show and be back home for bedtime. Sure to get you thinking, sure to get you laughing. Sorry, no swing seats.
