Hawk's Newsletter #4 - Not quite our day!
- Johnsonville Rugby Football Club
- On a sunny Saturday, a huge crowd was treated to a humdinger of a game between the Premiers and Paremata-Plimmerton at Helston where the lead changed several times. A delay to the match kickoff due to an unfortunate injury in the curtain raiser meant the game didn’t start until 3.30pm. It was Paremata-Plimmerton who started better going out to a 13-9 with the boot of Mark Sutton keeping the Premiers in touch. The Premiers scored just before the break when Kuso Tuitama picked up a dropped ball and ran away for the try in the corner to make it 14-13. Just before the half the Premiers missed a golden opportunity to score but were held out.

Amesbury Ferns Post Match Report - Championship Round 3
- Amesbury Drive School Blog
- As the season draws to an end it was another tough match for the Amesbury ferns on Saturday 17 August. They were up against the Johnsonville Royals again, having lost to them in the previous encounter. The girls were fired up for the game and their performance on court did not disappoint. It was a tight match in which the Amesbury Ferns trailed until Phoebe slotted a long goal right on the half time bell to even the score. The teams were evenly matched and the ferns were solid on defence as always. Parents watched nervously courtside as we trailed heading into the last quarter, managing to even the score at 4-4 with minutes to go to come away with a hard fought draw.

Netball Firebirds - Saturday, 10th August
- Amesbury Drive School Blog
- The weather was great but the competition was tough. Although the Amesbury Firebirds lost to St Brigid's Green, the Firebirds were very pleased with their passes. Congratulations to Mycke for being player of the day. Her work in defensive was great.
