Weekly Club Roundup - Saturday 8th August 2015
- Oriental Rongotai Football Club
- Wow – too big too strong too fast two wins! Our Colts defeated Wainui 49-5 at Mary Crowther to book a finals spot in the early game while in the main game on No.1 our Premier Reserves might be in trouble after an unauthorised demolition of Johnsonville and will host Wainui in the HD Morgan Cup final on No.1 on Saturday. Over at ASB the Netball girls had a two wins and a loss and with one round remaining some silverware looks a distinct possibility! Our juniors had some great results probably none better than our U8 Magpies who defeated West’s 55-35 despite playing the whole game with one less player. The U6s’ beat Wests’ 11-6, U9s’ beat Poneke 80-10 but the U10s’ went down in a tight one 35-25 to Wests’.

Amesbury Ferns Post Match Report - Championship Round 3
- Amesbury Drive School Blog
- As the season draws to an end it was another tough match for the Amesbury ferns on Saturday 17 August. They were up against the Johnsonville Royals again, having lost to them in the previous encounter. The girls were fired up for the game and their performance on court did not disappoint. It was a tight match in which the Amesbury Ferns trailed until Phoebe slotted a long goal right on the half time bell to even the score. The teams were evenly matched and the ferns were solid on defence as always. Parents watched nervously courtside as we trailed heading into the last quarter, managing to even the score at 4-4 with minutes to go to come away with a hard fought draw.

Netball Firebirds - Saturday, 10th August
- Amesbury Drive School Blog
- The weather was great but the competition was tough. Although the Amesbury Firebirds lost to St Brigid's Green, the Firebirds were very pleased with their passes. Congratulations to Mycke for being player of the day. Her work in defensive was great.
