The year is now well underway and we are very excited to be able to announce our programme for 2020!
Director Liz Alpine will kick the year off in April with Louise Proudfoot’s “Desperate Huttwives“.
Rex Havens is a college professor who gave up academic life to become a comedian – and what a hugely successful career change it’s been! Thru a mutual friend who introduced Tricia and Stewart of the Stetson Group to Rex, he is now going to perform one exclusive show called “WOMEN & CHILDREN FIRST!” at Kapiti Playhouse Theatre on the 6th of March.
Well known Wellington-based director Ewan Coleman presents a workshop for both novice directors and those interesting in refreshing their skills.
Workshop costs $30 for members, or $40 for non-members.

What happens when your husband leaves for a younger woman? How do you kick start your life when you’ve never had to work? How do you cope with the realisation that time is not on your side?
Susan decides to take action, and this funny and at times tender play follows her as she attempts a new start in life in the belief that “It’s never too late”, and culminates with her having to make a most unexpected choice.
Auditions for this play by Ron Aldridge are on Sunday 29th January 2pm at Kapiti Playhouse Theatre, Ruahine Street. Playing dates April 19th to 22nd and April 26th to 29th.

New Zealand’s own, New York based B3 organ powerhouse, vocalist, composer and band leader Adrienne Fenemor is unleashing her brand new album Mo’ Puddin’ in NZ this month, including a performance at Kapiti Playhouse in Paraparaumu.
Where the new meets the old, New York City based musician and former Kapiti Coast resident, Dan Bolton is a singer/songwriter/pianist with a unique sound.
Rehearsals are underway for Kapiti Playhouse’s second production of 2016, Forget-Me-Knot by David Tristram and directed by Liz Alpine.
