The day that all junior players had been working towards for two long months had finally arrived. The Junior Capital Bowl would be decided in a game between the Spartans and the Wolves. The Spartans went into the game as red-hot favourites, having gone unbeaten during the regular season with a 5-0 record.
The playing season for the Spartans, started this year with an under 19 junior game against the Wellington Wolves. Game time at HeretaungaCollege was met with warm rays of sun and a slight breeze that would die off as the game went on, to provide perfect playing conditions.
