Fair Trade City Wellington / May 2011
The Wellington Fair Trade Communities Group (WFTCG) was established in May 2007. Members are representatives from many areas of the Wellington community. The WFTCG has set a goal of having Wellington City Council (WCC) pass a resolution to declare Wellington a Fair Trade City by June 2009.

Black Gold star in Wellington Friday 20th May

- Tadesse Meskela, General Manager of Ethiopian Coffee coop Oromia, featured in the movie Black Gold, is in Wellington at the Trade Aid store on Friday evening 6 – 7.30pm. Come along and hear about the difference fair trade is making for coffee farmers and their families in Ethiopia.
