Matariki 2012
- Brooklyn Early Childhood Centre
- Matariki 2012 began on June 21. We have many activities planned over the next month so keep an eye out for notices in your pockets and in emails. Pot Luck Dinner Our Matariki Pot Luck Dinner is on Thursday July 12 at 6pm here at the centre. Bring along a plate of food to share. It’s always a great night and very special for the children. We look forward to your company.

Favourite Book Week
- Brooklyn Early Childhood Centre
- Monday 18th – Friday 22nd June 2012 “Do you as parents/caregivers have a favourite book that you like to read with your child?” To help us continue with our theme of linking learning from home with the centre, we asked families to bring in a special book from home for us to share at the centre, or, if possible, to come in and read a favourite book.

Matariki Celebrations 2010

- This year’s celebration of Matariki culminated on the last day before mid-term break with a trip to Te Papa where the children (and teachers!) thoroughly enjoyed a special Matariki session at Story Place.
