- So says Rod James, of the 1900 or so submissions received by NZTA on their recently closed public consultation on the preferred options for roading improvements near the Basin Reserve. his exact words are: We are grateful to Wellingtonian’s for taking the time to review our proposals… This will provide us with valuable additional knowledge and local insight to guide us towards a refined proposal.

- I just discovered this, and thought I’d share it with you all, as it is a topical image for today – the last day of submissions on NZTA’s proposals for transport improvements near the basin Reserve. If I had sighted it earlier I would have used it to threaten those of you who have not yet made submissions in a post entitled “Make your submission to NZTA or else…!”.

- The Friday 26 August deadline for submissions to NZTA regarding the Wellington inner-city transport projects is getting closer. We believe this is an important issue for everyone to give feedback on. Option X will tunnel State Highway One under Memorial Park, providing a space which will respect our war dead, and allow reflection and commemoration.
