The bloggers who drank Molesworth
- The Wellingtonista
- It's one thing to look for food in the government quarter, but what a politico barfly wants to know is "Where can I get a decent Champagne within crawling distance of Parliament?".

Here come the 2008 NZ Bar Awards!
- Texture
- The premier bars throughout Aotearoa are about to do battle for top honours at the 2008 New Zealand Bar Awards. The final will be held on Wednesday 6th of August at Auckland’s Hilton Hotel. Last year Matterhorn took out the award for best bar, and they are again favourites to take out number one spot in a bid for national domination of NZ's burgeoning bar scene. In fact, Wellington establishments have a strong representation across many of the categories, not to mention a ton of Wellingtonians putting up their hand for bartender of the year as well.

Duke Carvell's - A new, cosy and tucked away bar
- Texture
- It's easy to get a bit tired of going to the same old bars in the 'grid' of central Wellington. You know, sometimes you just want to have a quiet drink where you won't bump into everyone you know. Times like that, you need somewhere that's tucked away and a bit intimate. For this, Duke Carvell's, the new bar on Swan Lane where Imbibe used to be, is the ideal joint to visit.

Wagamama joins Mojo at Kumutoto
- Eye of the Fish
- In what appears to be one of Wellington’s more anticipated restaurant openings for years, a branch of the international noodle bar Wagamama has opened in the Meridian building, and already queues are forming out the door: indeed, breaking all Australasian records for turnover in a first week, despite it being the middle of a very bleak winter. It evidently has been a phenomenal success.
