108th Anniversary of New Zealand’s First Children’s Hospital
- Wellington Health Foundation
- Wellington Regional Children’s Hospital has a unique and remarkable place in New Zealand’s history as the country’s first ever children’s hospital – and today we celebrate its 108th birthday!! The Edward VII Memorial Children’s Hospital opened in Wellington on 13 March 1912, and now 108 years later it is incredibly exciting to see your New Children’s Hospital taking shape! Today we also wish Benji a Happy 1st Birthday!! It was lovely to meet him and his Mum Ardya yesterday when they popped in with a very kind donation of $250 for the New Children’s Hospital! Ardya raised the money by running a Hot Yoga class and also asked their family to donate in lieu of first birthday presents for wee Benji. We greatly appreciate their very thoughtful milestone gift to the New Children’s Hospital. To celebrate, please join us in a birthday donation to our fundraising campaign to outfit the interior of the new hospital and ensure another 108 years of wonderful care – https://whf.org.nz/donate/ The post 108th Anniversary of New Zealand’s First Children’s Hospital appeared first on Wellington Hospitals Foundation.
