    • The southerly front that brought snow to the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges fortunately went through in the night leaving a cold but clear day for the start of this year's MTBO series. Andrew McLellan and Hilary Miller took the lead in the open classes, but younger riders also enjoyed Magnus Bengtsson's riverbank courses.
