Naenae pool / June 2023
In December 2018, the Learners Pool area of the Naenae Olympic Pool complex was closed due to concerns over public safety in a significant earthquake. After further engineering inspections on 10 April 2019, we received similar advice on the area housing the main pool, fitness suite and offices. As a result, the entire facility was closed to the public immediately.

Prime Minister visits new Naenae Pool construction site

- The Prime Minister and MP for Remutaka Rt Hon Chris Hipkins visited the site of the new Naenae Pool and Fitness Centre in Lower Hutt this afternoon, where construction is progressing well and towering 16m concrete panels and 37m manufactured timber beams are now in place.
