Tanadees Cup and Shield and Arkwright Cup, Evans Bay
- Wellington Scottish Athletics Club
- Plenty of silver at stake in today's races - six trophies, in fact. Winner of the Tanadees Challenge Cup for the senior men's handicap race over 8k was Michael Hardiman (again), continuing the line of Michaels (Hardiman and Browne) who have been winners over the past four years. Runners-up were Peter Plowman and Adrian Shields. On the women's side, women's captain Belinda Buck takes away the Arkwright Cup for 2008, ahead of Catherine Manchester and Pam Graham. Quickest man over the 8k course was Grant McLean (25:20) and quickest woman, Michele Allison (31:51).

Banalitecture
- Eye of the Fish
- I’ve just spotted this blank wall being constructed beside the main route into the city from the airport. Facing north, providing a beautiful backdrop for shadow play of pohutukawa, as well as a future venue for no doubt countless mindless scribblings, is a blank wall.
