BLUE SKY the Outer- T Competition
- Wellington's Waterfront
- One hundred and seventy-six entries have been received for the BLUE Sky the Outer-T competition which closed at the end of August. The competition called for creative ideas for the best use for the Outer-T of Queens Wharf and was open to everyone. We are very pleased with the number of entries we received, and the fact that they came from such a wide-cross section of the Wellington community.

Overseas Passenger Terminal - Resource Consent Granted
- Wellington's Waterfront
- Willis Bond and Co has been granted a resource consent to redevelop of the Overseas Passenger Terminal. It plans to spend over $100 million on a makeover that will revitalise the area, providing a range of new indoor and outdoor areas, including apartments, shops and cafes on the waterfront.

Waterfront Promenade Re-Opens
- Wellington's Waterfront
- The northern waterfront promenade between Shed 5 and the old Eastbourne Ferry Terminal is to re-open from 9am on Thursday 29 November. The promenade, to be given a Maori blessing earlier that morning by the Wellington Tenths Trust, has been closed since February while the new Meridian building and surrounding public spaces were under construction.

Waterfront Design Competitions - Public Display
- Wellington's Waterfront
- Wellington Waterfront Limited is seeking public feedback on entries in two design competitions that are currently underway. The competitions are for the redesign of Frank Kitts Park and concept building designs for Kumutoto sites 8, 9 and 10. All designs are being displayed in the Waterfront Project Information Centre in Shed 6 on Queens Wharf until Friday 2 November.

Wellington Waterfront Chair resigns
- Wellington's Waterfront
- Wellington Waterfront Ltd Chairperson Fran Wilde has resigned after four years in the role. She will stand down on 29 August. Mayor Kerry Prendergast says she wants to publicly thank Ms Wilde on behalf of all Wellingtonians for her hard work in driving the waterfront development forward.

Wellington's oldest ship to give waterfront development a lift

- Wellington's oldest ship, the floating crane Hikitia, will again prove age is no barrier to hard work when it lifts two 37-tones, 12 metre high contrete towers into place on the refurbished Tug Wharf, north of Queens Wharf on Saturday 26 May.
