- The qualifying rounds for the Auckland NZ Open are due to get underway Thursday 8 Nov on greens around the city. In the singles entries from Wellington include Lou and Adam Newman, Raymond Martin, Laurie Guy, Barry O'Brien and Leigh Griffin all from Victoria, together with perennial starter Rob Ashton. The event concludes with finals on 15 & 16 November.
