Rimutaka Incline Railway / August 2013
The Rimutaka Incline Railway Heritage Trust aims to reinstate and operate a world-class heritage railway between Wellington and the Wairarapa. The railway has the potential to be a unique tourist attraction for Wellington and New Zealand, and a major contributor to the regional economy.

Workshop build advances
- Rimutaka Incline Railway
- <!-- da2a.script_load(); //--> Another milestone was reached on Friday 2 August with a third portal frame lifted into position for our workshop extension. Two portal frames arrived by truck, fresh from blasting and priming at Steam and Sand Porirua, and welding at MJH Engineering. Fabrication of the steel beams and components had earlier been completed by trust members.
