- Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club (Inc)
- New Zealand father-and-son duo, Ross and Campbell Field sailing Buckley Systems (BSL), have completed the second leg of the Global Ocean Race but not before enduring two days of extreme weather in the Cook Strait. On Saturday night Ross reported “we’re getting the **** kicked out of us. Just before the wind instruments got blown off the rig, it was 38 knots and then it got windier.” Then the pair entered the Cook Strait proper and the wind built fruther to an estimated 60 knots.
