- Dogs love playing with this toy made out of scraps of material. They can play tug of war with another dog or can throw this around and try to catch it. Cats like to attack the strips of material and you can spray cat nip on it to make it more enticing to cats. To make this toy, cut the binding off the edges off old towels or sheets and the seams off old clothes. Cut close to the seam or binding
