- Our Emergency Department volunteer team attended the CCDHB Celebrating Our Success Awards last night and were thrilled to win their category of Volunteer of the Year! Our wonderful ED volunteers provide support to clinical staff, extend the care of patients through contact with them and their whanau in a warm and empathetic way, and contribute to the patient experience in the ED by helping to create a positive and friendly environment. The Wellington Hospitals Foundation has provided a team of volunteers in the Emergency Department since 2010. Congratulations everyone and thank you for choosing to gift your time to Wellington Hospital!
