Marathon effort for man dressed as a dog

- Andrew in his costume training for Sunday's marathon Wellington SPCA is pleased to have been selected as the charity of choice of Andrew Smith. Andrew is running the marathon in Wellington this weekend dressed as a dog. His fundraising efforts have already raised almost $600 to help us care for Wellington’s homeless, abused, neglected and unwanted animals.

Lifetime ban on pet ownership by courts applauded
- Wellington SPCA
- Wellington SPCA is welcoming the decision by Judge Walker today to place a life time ban on owning a ‘companion animal’ on Mr Lindsay Ward of Tio Tio Road, Strathmore. Lindsay Ward today pleaded guilty to, and was convicted of, one charge of ill-treatment of an animal.
